26 of the 32 Tenerife paragliding activities on GetYourGuide take off from the hillsides of Adeje. It is the area with the most time slots, the most operators and hotel pickup along the south coast. From Costa Adeje a van takes you up to Taucho or Ifonche and you aim to fly back down to the coast. “From” prices between €100 and €210 (30 October 2026).
The activity starts with pickup at your hotel or a meeting point on the coast. A van drives up the hillside, the pilot gives a briefing and, when the wind blows from the front, you take off by walking or running a few steps. The flight descends towards the sea over the Adeje valley and ends, conditions permitting, on the Costa Adeje shoreline.
Listings warn that the take-off site may change with the weather on the day: the exact spot is the pilot’s call.

1,000 to 1,100 m, against 750–800 m at Taucho, with 20–25 minutes in the listing that publishes it and €120–€129.99. More mountain scenery early in the flight; landing is still towards the coast.
The take-off is not guaranteed: several listings warn that the flying area can change with the weather, and the long-duration flight picks Taucho or Ifonche on the day.

Some listing titles say “Santa Cruz de Tenerife” or “Los Gigantes”. In the ones we reviewed, the flight is in Adeje: read the meeting point before paying.

Southern flights pick up along the south coast. From Puerto de la Cruz it makes more sense to look at northern flights, which meet locally, although their weight and fitness limits are stricter.
Listings that mention it point to the Costa Adeje shoreline, such as La Enramada or La Caleta beaches, when the wind allows; otherwise at an alternative site chosen by the pilot. No landing spot is guaranteed.
Usually yes, but check the time: several listings only pick up in Los Cristianos or Las Américas for morning flights (10:00 and 12:00) and one does not pick up for the 18:00 flight.
